What happens when you meet up with three girls who've never met, outside of town, in their swimsuits at 8:00am on a chilly Tuesday morning in September?! MAGIC!!
I'm wearing my heart on my sleeve here. This is the first personal model session I've put together, rather quickly and spontaneously I might add, and it turned out better than I could have hoped for. I'm so excited to share it!
I first had this idea this summer when I was at the quarries swimming with my husband. We were heading out and I pointed over to a specific area and said "I'd love to photograph someone over on those rocks!" I told him about my vision of a tropical-looking glamour images; surprisingly he understood what I was saying and agreed that it would be cool. The only downfall was that to photograph the location I was pointing towards, I would need to be standing in the middle of the water. Hmp.
I didn't want to overthink myself out of doing this like I have done so many times in the past, so on a whim one day I emailed the park and after finding out I'd have to change my exact location because I couldn't bring in a canoe or anything I found out it was ok to take photos there.
Next up: a model! Originally my idea included only one person, so I found some images similar to what I was thinking and posted them to Facebook to see if anyone would be interested in doing something like this. I was blown away by the responses! Two girls said they'd do it together so have a little brainstorming we had it all set up with the three of us but because of the amount of other ladies who were interested I asked a few other saying, here's the day and time, you're more than welcome to come if you can.
I ended up with three beautiful women from different town, lifestyles and body types, none of which had ever met before. They braved a little wind and cold rocks on bare skin but I couldn't have asked for a better group. It was fun to hear the other two chatting about anything from school, to tattoos, to weddings while I was photographing the third.
Also a huge shout out to Kara, a second year from Ridgewater, who came out to help control lighting!
I hope you enjoy checking out this fun session! I'd love to hear your thoughts but even more, I'd love to hear what kind of session we can set up to show off WHO YOU ARE!!
Believe you are beautiful!
