When you start scrolling you’ll see why Leather and Lace was a perfect title for this post. Both badass and beautiful! This is the third time Kayla has so kindly and enthusiastically said YES to my wild ideas. Check out her vinyl record session and her quarry model session.
This time my idea was two fold. One I wanted to do some more fashion and headshot type photos as well as photograph someone in the new studio bedroom space so that I can share what the room looks like during a real session. The fashion photos were inspired by a photo she had posted of herself a while back and the headshot photos were to try out a new background I had learned about at a conference I went to.
It was fun to play around with the fashion style that I don’t normally shoot and I’d love some more practice but when we transitioned to boudoir I was in love with every image and the ideas came so much more naturally to me. It did for Kayla as well. I stopped mid-session to ask if she’d ever done a boudoir session before because she was so natural. She had not.
I’ve even included some of my inspiration and behind the scene photos! Watch for our next fun idea in late July! This one was her idea! Sorry, no hints!
