“Here is your flash drive.” I say as it passes from my hand to yours. You get home, flip through them once and set it on the shelf next to the computer. You’ll print some photos when you get time. Womp womp…
I am guilty of both. Just handing clients a flash drive and not printing my own photos. (I just had my fourth wedding anniversary, don’t ask how many wedding photos I have printed, although I am happy to report it’s more than zero). Luckily, I have stepped up my delivery game for all sessions but I challenged myself to one-up my wedding packaging this year.
I am SO excited about the results! I have wanted to order branded packaging since 2011 but always allowed myself to be paralyzed by all the options:
Wood box or metal box?
Or do I do bags?
Paper bag or cloth bag?
Can I afford cloth bags?
Ok, wood box. What color wood box?
Do I add engraving?
Why are there so many different kinds of flash drives?!
After years of bookmarking websites, I just told myself to make a decision. Even I feel like these photos were designed and staged by someone else. My word for 2018 was CREATE.
I am proud of this creation!
Here were my decisions:
Wood box - Autumn Wood Work
Box Color - Gray Wash
Add Engraving - YES!
4x6 Matted Prints - White House Custom Color
Branded Flash Drive - PhotoFlashDrive
Hot Pink Filler - Hobby Lobby
Metal Key Chain - Miller’s Professional Imaging
Wooden Stars - Target > Dollar Section (definitely should have bought more of these cute things)
The pallet table-top background was created by my hubby - after minimal begging.
